Majlis cushions and floor seating
A majlis is measured to the room, not bought in a box. We make the seat pads, backs, armrests and bolsters to your walls, in fabrics that take daily use and a family gathering every Friday.
We have made floor majlis for villas in Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Mirdif and Nad Al Sheba for over twenty years, and re-covered many of them a decade later. The seat is a firm high-density foam, the backs are softer and taller than most shop sets, and the covers are fully removable for cleaning.
Fabric matters more here than anywhere else in the house. We recommend heavyweight velvets, jacquards and chenilles with a high rub count, and we will tell you honestly which of the fashionable fabrics will not last.

New covers for an existing majlis, keeping the foam if it is still good.

How long does a majlis take?
Two to three weeks for a full room; a week for re-covering.
What is the cost?
A floor majlis for a room up to 5 m by 4 m starts around AED 9,500 in a mid-range velvet. Larger rooms and premium fabrics are quoted after the visit.
